Another client sees the light!

In 2021 we have made a very good progress with the national fuel company. With a change of management which brought energy and responsibility, came the willingness to address the past, bringing the firm to high levels of network resilience.

One such occasion was a link supplying all the communication needs for many third country nationals residing there. It is evident that something went very wrong in the acceptance of these works when commissioned.

Tektraco was called in to identify and resolve the issues: the fibre was broken in two different places, the 'enclosure' at the gate was an improvised electrical box which was full of water, there was another break inside what should be an ODF but what looked like a telephone box with some tape. We also noted how the cable used was unarmoured and had been installed badly, resulting in partial shearing of the cable but luckily with no permanent damage.

We replaced the 'improvised' items with an IP rated enclosure and our classic DIN rail ODF, which permits easy management and servicing of the link in question.
